Co-founded by dermatologist Dr. Whitney Hovenic and Hillary Schieve, our brand was built to make sun protection fun, effective, and unapologetically bold. Our mineral-based, dermatologist-developed “all-screens” are clean, cruelty-free, and reef-safe, delivering broad-spectrum SPF powered by zinc oxide and skincare actives like hyaluronic acid, niacinamide, and vitamin C. From invisible and dewy finishes to shimmer-infused options, we turn daily sun care into a habit, making protection feel just as good as it performs.
SPOOGE offers a playful yet powerful line of mineral sunscreens called “all-screens,” each dermatologist-developed to blend skincare benefits with broad-spectrum SPF. Their lineup includes The OG (SPF 50), a non-greasy face and body formula packed with aloe, vitamin C, and hyaluronic acid; Ghosted (SPF 30), an oil-free, invisible sunscreen ideal for sensitive skin and bald heads; Cheeky (SPF 30), a shimmer-infused option with caffeine and iron oxides for a radiant glow; and Dew Me (SPF 30), a tinted, dewy formula with niacinamide and allantoin. Being a Go-To-Market sunscreen brand raises it’s own set of challenges. Mainly, how do we profitably scale while also driving brand awareness. Not wasting any dollars was precious.
For this reason, we leaned into a campaign structure that emphasized Google Shopping & Non-Branded search while also making sure we appeared for our own branded terms. Being a unique brand name and that we don’t so up organically (yet), we needed to run brand to prove legitimacy and help people find us.
